NEOCOOL Mobile Intelligent Temperature-Controlled Unit

NEOCOOL is a mobile refrigeration and temperature-control system designed for mixed-temperature distribution.

Its integrated battery system enables active cooling independently of continuous vehicle-engine operation or fixed external power, making it suitable for applications from cold-storage facilities and distribution centres to transportation and final-mile delivery.

1. Applications

NEOCOOL is designed for high-value and temperature-sensitive products requiring controlled transportation or temporary storage. Typical applications include:

Premium Food

Fresh and frozen meat, seafood, ice cream, dairy products, fruit and vegetables, and other temperature-sensitive food products.

Pharmaceuticals and Healthcare Products

Vaccines, blood products, insulin, biologics, clinical-trial materials and other pharmaceutical products requiring controlled-temperature handling. For regulated pharmaceutical applications, the system can be configured and operated according to applicable cold-chain management and documentation requirements.

Biological Reagents and Samples

Diagnostic reagents, enzymes, cell lines, biological samples and other research or diagnostic materials requiring stable temperature conditions.

Chemicals and Electronic Materials

Selected temperature- or humidity-sensitive chemical reagents, precision electronic components and other materials requiring controlled storage or transport conditions.

2. Operating Environments

NEOCOOL is designed for applications involving frequent movement, limited access to fixed electrical power and mixed-temperature distribution. Typical operating environments include:

Urban and Last-Mile Distribution

Frozen and refrigerated goods can be transported within the same vehicle using independently controlled compartments, supporting mixed-temperature deliveries across urban distribution routes.

Trunk, Feeder and Last-Mile Cold Chains

The unit can move with goods between cold-storage facilities, larger transport vehicles and smaller last-mile vehicles without relying continuously on vehicle-mounted refrigeration. This helps reduce temperature-control interruptions during transfers and intermediate handling.

Locations without Continuous Grid Power

Battery-powered operation supports applications such as temporary medical sites, outdoor events, mobile catering, agricultural markets and emergency-response environments.

Variable Ambient Conditions

The refrigeration and battery systems are designed to support stable temperature control across a range of operating environments. Actual runtime and cooling performance depend on factors including ambient temperature, setpoint, load, door-opening frequency and equipment configuration.

Warehouses and Distribution Centres

Heavy-duty casters allow the unit to be repositioned within warehouses, sorting centres and staging areas, where it can serve as temporary mobile temperature-controlled storage.

3. Core Functions

Multi-Temperature Operation

NEOCOOL supports multiple operating modes, including frozen, refrigerated and insulated storage. Depending on configuration, the system can use independently controlled compartments to accommodate products requiring different temperature conditions within a single unit. This allows mixed-temperature products to be consolidated within the same delivery operation.

Independent Temperature Control

The system combines independently controlled refrigeration zones with separate thermal compartments. Its cooling architecture supports stable temperature control in each zone while minimising thermal interaction between compartments. Depending on product configuration, the system can support frozen conditions around -18°C and refrigerated conditions around 0–4°C.

Battery-Powered Active Refrigeration

NEOCOOL uses a lithium iron phosphate battery system to support active refrigeration independently of continuous engine operation. Key features include:

    •  high-capacity LFP battery technology.

    •  active refrigeration rather than passive insulation.

    •  approximately four-hour full charging under specified charging conditions.

    •  more than 30 hours of continuous cooling under specified operating conditions.

    •  modular quick-release battery packs for rapid replacement.

Actual operating duration will vary according to ambient conditions, internal load, temperature setpoints, door-opening frequency and system configuration.

Flexible Charging

Depending on configuration, NEOCOOL can support charging through mains power and compatible vehicle power interfaces. The modular battery design also enables battery packs to be replaced without taking the complete unit out of service for an extended charging period.

Mobile Design

Heavy-duty industrial casters provide mobility within warehouses, distribution centres and delivery environments. The structure is designed to withstand the movement and handling associated with mobile logistics applications.

Remote Monitoring

NEOCOOL can connect to a remote monitoring platform for real-time visibility of:

    •  equipment location.

    •  compartment temperature.

    •  battery level.

    •  operating status.

    •  system alerts.

Historical operating and temperature data can support traceability, operational management and compliance documentation where required.

System Integration

Where required, monitoring data can be integrated with enterprise logistics platforms such as WMS or TMS systems, allowing NEOCOOL units to become part of a broader digital cold-chain management environment.

4. Operational Efficiency

NEOCOOL provides an alternative to relying exclusively on dedicated refrigerated vehicles.

By placing mobile refrigeration capacity directly with the goods, businesses can use existing transport resources more flexibly and deploy temperature-controlled capacity according to actual demand. In suitable operating scenarios, this model can:

    •  reduce temperature-controlled transport costs.

    •  improve utilisation of existing vehicles.

    •  reduce empty or underutilised refrigerated-vehicle capacity.

    •  simplify mixed frozen and refrigerated distribution.

    •  provide additional capacity during seasonal demand peaks.

    •  improve visibility across the cold chain.

Based on the intended operating model, overall temperature-controlled transport costs may be reduced by more than 30% compared with conventional refrigerated-vehicle deployment in selected scenarios. NEOCOOL combines mobile refrigeration, independent power, multi-temperature capability and digital monitoring to provide a flexible platform for modern cold-chain operations.
