NEOCOOL Intelligent Temperature-Control Solution

Flexible Cold Chain, Independent of Fixed Power

Traditional refrigerated transport is often tied to the vehicle itself. When the engine is switched off during loading, unloading, waiting or last-mile handoffs, temperature control can be interrupted. For temperature-sensitive products such as premium food, pharmaceuticals, biological materials and other high-value goods, these interruptions can compromise product quality and cold-chain integrity.

NEOCOOL was developed to address this challenge.

Rather than functioning as an accessory to a refrigerated vehicle, NEOCOOL is a self-contained mobile temperature-control unit. It combines battery-powered active refrigeration, independent dual-temperature zones and digital connectivity in a single mobile platform. The result is flexible cold-chain capacity that can be deployed where and when it is needed—without relying continuously on a vehicle engine or fixed power supply.

Three Dimensions of Operational Flexibility

1. Energy Independence

Each NEOCOOL unit is powered by a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery system designed for mobile cold-chain applications.

A fully charged battery can support more than 30 hours of continuous active cooling under specified operating conditions, enabling extended operation during transportation, staging and last-mile delivery. For longer operating cycles, the modular battery design allows battery packs to be replaced quickly, reducing downtime and extending operating availability. NEOCOOL can therefore maintain active temperature control even when the delivery vehicle is parked or its engine is switched off.

2. Independent Dual-Temperature Zones

NEOCOOL combines two independently controlled temperature zones within a single mobile unit.

Its dual cooling architecture supports both frozen storage at approximately -18°C and refrigerated storage at 0–8°C, allowing goods with different temperature requirements to be transported together while maintaining separate thermal environments. Frozen food and chilled dairy products, for example, can be carried within the same unit without requiring separate refrigerated vehicles. Depending on configuration, NEOCOOL can support frozen, chilled and insulated operating modes, giving operators greater flexibility when handling mixed-temperature orders.

3. Flexible Deployment

NEOCOOL is designed for mobility.

Heavy-duty industrial casters and a robust enclosure allow the unit to move between cold-storage facilities, distribution centres, conventional delivery vehicles and last-mile delivery environments. No permanent vehicle conversion is required, allowing businesses to introduce temperature-controlled capacity using existing logistics resources.

NEOCOOL can be used as:

    •  a mobile refrigerated compartment inside a conventional delivery vehicle.

    •  temporary temperature-controlled buffer storage at a distribution centre.

    •  a mobile temperature-controlled unit for vaccination or medical applications.

    •  a portable cold-storage point for last-mile delivery.

    •  additional cold-chain capacity during seasonal or temporary demand peaks.

This flexibility allows operators to deploy temperature-controlled capacity without depending entirely on dedicated refrigerated vehicles.

Digital Cold-Chain Visibility

Each NEOCOOL unit can function as a connected IoT device within a digital cold-chain network.

Through the remote management platform, operators can monitor information such as:

    •  equipment location.

    •  individual compartment temperatures.

    •  historical temperature data.

    •  battery status.

    •  operating status.

    •  system alerts.

Temperature and operating data can also support traceability and compliance documentation, while integration with WMS and TMS platforms can enable NEOCOOL units to become part of a broader logistics-management system. This gives operators greater visibility into the condition of temperature-sensitive goods throughout transportation and storage.

A More Flexible Cold-Chain Model

By separating active refrigeration from the dedicated refrigerated vehicle, NEOCOOL creates a different approach to temperature-controlled logistics. Standard commercial vehicles can be equipped with mobile temperature-controlled units according to actual demand, allowing capacity to be added, removed or redeployed more easily. Potential benefits include:

Lower Transport Costs

In suitable operating scenarios, NEOCOOL can reduce temperature-controlled transport costs by more than 30% compared with conventional refrigerated-vehicle models, particularly where dedicated reefer utilisation is low or demand varies significantly.

Flexible Capacity

Temperature-controlled capacity can be increased or redeployed according to seasonal and operational demand, reducing the need to maintain underutilised dedicated refrigerated vehicles.

More Efficient Mixed-Temperature Distribution

Independent temperature zones allow frozen and refrigerated products to share transport capacity, improving vehicle utilisation and simplifying mixed-temperature delivery.

Reduced Energy Consumption

Battery-powered active refrigeration and consolidated multi-temperature distribution can reduce unnecessary vehicle refrigeration and improve overall energy efficiency.

Applications

NEOCOOL is designed for temperature-sensitive products that require reliable and flexible thermal control, including:

    •  premium fresh and frozen food.

    •  pharmaceuticals and healthcare products.

    •  biological reagents and research materials.

    •  temperature-sensitive chemicals.

    •  selected electronic and precision materials.

By combining active refrigeration, mobile power, independent temperature zones and digital monitoring, NEOCOOL provides a flexible temperature-control platform for high-value supply chains from origin to final delivery.
